Returns Policy_
The Cyclery Lewisham’s return policy it outlined here. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
RETURNING FAULTY ITEMS
In the event that an item you have purchased in store is faulty, you may return it within 30 days for a full refund. Your original item receipt will make this process smoother, but it is not essential. We will however require proof of purchase in order to confirm the original sale.
For returns more than 30 days and less than 6 months following your purchase, you may request a replacement or repair of an item. Where possible, The Cyclery Lewisham will offer a repair or replacement (chosen at our discretion). If the item can be demonstrated to have been damaged through incorrect installation, poor storage, or any other form of neglect or misuse, The Cylcery Lewisham will not be liable for a return or a refund.
For returns more than 6 months following your purchase, you may request a repair or replacement. Where possible, The Cyclery Lewisham will offer a repair or replacement (chosen at our discretion). In this instance, you will need to be able to demonstrate that the fault was present at the time of purchase.
USED / SECOND-HAND ITEMS
On rare occasions, The Cyclery Lewisham may consult with you during your service and offer to install a used/refurbed/second-hand component to your bike. This is usually if your bike is of a certain age and contemporary parts are not available. Used/refurbed/second-hand components are not elligible for returns, repair or refunds.
RETURNING ‘GOOD STOCK’ / ‘UNUSED’ ITEMS (NOT FAULTY)
If you have purchased an item in store and wish to return it:
You must be the original purchaser of the item
You must return within it within 14 days
You must provide your original receipt
The item must be unused, in it’s original packaging, and suitable for resale
Your refund will be offered in the same format with which you made the original purchase.
For card purchases, you will need to present the same card used for the original purchase.
Exchanges may be offered at the discretion of The Cyclery Lewisham.
The Cyclery Lewisham reserves the right to refuse to offer an exhange or refund.
Items which cannot be returned include (but are not limited to):
Perishable Items/Foodstuffs, ie Nutrition Bars, Gels, Tablets, Powders etc
Water Bottles
Any type of lock or security equipment
Bibshorts or padded shorts
Helmets or safety equipment
SPECIAL ORDER / ‘UNUSED’ ITEMS (NOT FAULTY)
If you wish to return a non-stock/special order item paid for in store and ordered on your behalf at The Cyclery Lewisham, your refund will be subject to return shipping fees, and a 20% restocking fee.
This includes but is not exclusive to, any and all parts, spares, accessories, and complete bikes.
CUSTOM BUILDS
If you have commissioned the custom build of a bicycle and wish to return it, your refund will be subject to return shipping fees, and a 20% restocking fee. Any labour fees will not be refunded.
LABOUR / SERVICING
Labour and servicing fees are not elligible for refunds.
BESPOKE PRODUCTS / MODIFICATIONS
Any item we have fabricated or modified specifically for your needs is not eligible for a refund.
BRAND SPECIFIC WARRANTIES
Many cycling brands have their own warranty procedures and policies. As standard we will return faulty components to their respective manufacturers for inspection and assessment. Only after we have received the results of these investigations, will we be equipped to offer refunds/returns/repairs where applicable.
